setup ideas for a 50 gallon tank/terrrarium?

For starters, pack it full of trays with cased, colonized substrate.

This might give you an idea. I once seen a really interesting closet setup. Pasterized straw was incoluated with rye spawn. It filled a ten gallon aquriam that sit about 4 inches from the bottom of a 29 gallon tank proped up on jars. About 4 inches of water laced with a small amount of bleach sit at the bottom. An aquriuam airstone and heater were used. The fungus grew down about 6" to 8" (at this point it stoped growing any deeper) into the straw (took almost 6 months from starting the spawn to growing down 8"). No casting was used! They started to fruit some of the largest 'shrooms ever seen. It was full automated and simple to build. The humidty was controlled by adjusting the water level temp and adjusting the air pressure to the stone. It took along time to fruit, but when it started it fruited for literaly months!
