Cutting through styrofoam?

Anyone have any ideas on how to cut a hole in a thick styrofoam lid without ruining it. My ex girlfriend wants to make a light hole in the top of her coolers. Thanx.

I think I would use a hot knife and would'nt try to cut it through
all at once. Have'nt tried this..seems it might work.

Just use a box cutter or exacto knife. When I'm at work and I'm bored I'll sit there cutting shapes out of styrofoam. But its thin styrofoam i use.. so i'd suggest not trying to cut it all in one cut. Make layers and the such.

They chopped her goddam head off right there in the parking lot. Then they cut all kinds of holes in her head and sucked the blood out. I think they were after the pineal gland.
