Hunting in Cleveland

Is anyone familiar with hunting in Northeast Ohio? Is it too late in the year to find anything? Where's the best place for a newbie to start looking? Any help would be appreciated, I'm going to trip in the MetroParks this weekend on my home-grown cubies, and I thought that maybe in my advanced state of consciousness I'd be able to search out those little guys better. Anyone ever gone hunting while high?

Not too late but you'd be wasting your time with out the right field guide. What do you have for literature?
