I love mushroom hunting
    #4280207 - 06/10/05 03:46 PM (11 years, 5 months ago)

Hit up a giant horse field today. Found a few pan subbs, that is all.
But I had a blast.. ended up coming across a giant patch of German Chamomile flowers and brought a nice bouquet home to dry for tea.

The horses are fucking sweet!!! They would come up to me, and I'd feed them grass.
This one white horse kept following me... every time I would bend down and pick up a mushroom he would sniff the spot out too after I had walked on... I kept telling him he might not want to eat those :0
The horses make me slightly nervous since they aren't mine, but It was cool that they came up to me and let me pet them.

All this rain is crazy, I did not find any cubensis, oh well. I had a blast, and learned a lot about the panaleaos species of mushrooms today... further reports and dicussions are already in the hunting forum if your intrested in that shit :0

Never done it, but would like to.

I'm just looking for a hold me over until the REAL heavy hitters come out to play, if you know what I mean round hurr. It's strange how I moved RIGHT into the heart of mad mushroom land. 5 active varieties, and they can all reach prime here. It's a good past time, walking, and talking with nature.

Nice pic.. Did you actually trip off those? They look like they might be pan foes.
I left a lot of those behind today.
I was not looking to get mushrooms to trip, just properly ID what a pan subb actually is.
If you did eat them, and trip, how many did you eat and how hard did you trip?

They are subbs. click the picture to enlarge it. there is some visible bluein on the base of the stems. The spore prints were black as well not brown.

I love hunting too.

I was out today in some beautiful country keeping an eye out for chantarelles and found some cool bee orchids, fly orchids, butterfly orchids and spotted heath orchids

Also stumbled upon the elusive adder, Britains only poisonous snake!

woo nice, did you take pictures. Orchids are great, i got a couple, my great grandpa was a purist at the hobby. Got so sick of it when all the hybrids we in fad, and burnt all his plants and equipment. Don't really know why, but i figure he must have thought if people bought his orchids and crossbred them that it would be a abomination

You wont find many psycedelic shrooms growing in woodland.

Luckily we have the right to roam in the UK.

The powers that be are making Psilocybes illegal, but so long as you've got a mixture of edibles and actives in your bag and plead ignorance if searched I can't see them pressing charges
