Ideal temp for colonization for P. Cubensis is 84-86F. For the onset of pinning, 72-76F, and the same for mushroom formation. However, the temps you have are fine if you don't have a way of controlling heat. After birthing your cakes, case them with a humidity level of 95% or above. Lower humidity to 90-92% for pinhead initiation and mushroom formation.

matty- thats a little high of rh for casings. since the casing layer provides and retains moisture, the rh doesnt need to be as high as it does for cakes. consensus from what ive read is cakes- 95%, casings during cropping- 85-92% (also check the tmc for values). for primordia formation on casings it should be higher than the values ive listed- you drop the humidity and the temps to initiate pinning.

dude, if you find yourself wanting to lower the humidity for cropping do some of this or that: this:\ fan more often. like five times a day. that:\ spray some water on the sides of the terrarium each time you fan. that will lower the humidity and compensate the set up with more humidity for which you will have to be a slave. however, i bet youll get mad flushes that way (compared to just doing it every now and then). peace & happiness
