Temperature and Humidity
    #2937323 - 07/28/04 07:27 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

Hello, I've read on this forum a lot about how important temperature and humidity are when it comes to growing the shrooms but I've decided I'm going to do an outdoor grow so will the growth be slow considering the fact that I can (not very often but there may be a week here and there where it will be cold and rainy for a few days) get some hot days (90 degrees) and cold nights (60 degrees)?

i dont think so. the ideal growing temp. for cubensis outdoors is from 60-100 degrees, or so i read somewhere here in the faqs.

The temp ranges are a bit more flexible when working outdoors. Just be sure you don't allow your substrate beds to dry out if you experience periods of breif drought. Keeping them moist and shaded is important for outdoor growth. Then when temps are in the "average" range for the species you are working with then they will begin to fruit.

Outdoor growing is almost too simple.. I constantly wonder why more people don't do it.

I'm sorry but I think anything over 90 is too hot for cubensis (unless the patch is shaded and a good humidity is kept). Please read before you post. Thanks.
