aquarium heater

i recently read about aquarium heaters somewhere on this forum and decided to pick one up. what i was wondering was how exactly to set it up in my terrarium. i know it needs to go into water so will it produce enough warmth to heat my terrarium such as in the incubation stage. also will it help with the humidity i would think it would but im looking for any and alll info any of you have on them. thanks

I have not used one personally but a friend did and he took a 1 gallon jars and then filled it with water and put the heater in and turned it on.

That's about all I know

This is what my friend uses...



She puts an aquarium bubbler and heater in the same jar.

you will most likely have to set the heat up pretty high for the incubation. Inorder to get the whole terr. up to a good temp. Once the mycilium is said and done and it is time to move on the air bubbly will help get the humidity up higher. But not much so dont rely on it. What ever you do dont turn your heater on before you put it in the water. That will lead to much more serious problems. One of which is the heater blowing up and making a large mess..........

that setup keeps my friend's 50 gallon rubbermaid terarrium at a constant 85F
