So tell me about your experiences with oral ingestion of cannabis
    #4239240 -

I've been a regular smoker for over a year, but now I think I want to experiment with oral ingestion of cannabis.  For my first time I want to use  this recipe.

So Pubbers, any advice?  How is the high different from smoking?  I enjoy getting really, really blitzed on weed but I don't want to take too much.  I read a gram is probably what I would need.

Thanks in advance.

I stuck an ounce in some brownies and made like 4 brownies out of it. A friend and I proceeded to get stoned (smoking) and forgot that there was weed in the brownies. We had munchies so we started eating.

It was a very stoney day. (as well as part of the following day)

i'd recommend making canabutter (for example, this recipe http://www.overgrow.com/growfaq/1178) and then cooking whatever you want with the butter.

it can take you much further than smoking weed, that much is for sure. i find the experience more like a 'trip', but i'm also a bit of a pothead, so smoking weed has become a much more everyday experience for me... :stoned:

just don't eat too much, or else you might get a bit uncomfortably stoned!

High is pretty similar, it kicks in slowly(30min-2hrs), lasts a long time, takes 3-4x what you would smoke to get high eating it.

Making a single dose of weed food best way i think is with like firecrackers if you dont want to whip up an entire batch.

People always tell me that you need to put a lot of schwag into brownies...I say screw that.

I like to buy an 1/8th of kind, something I'd be real excited to smoke, and make an entire batch of 9 brownies out of an 1/8th (maybe take out one little nug to smoke while I'm making the brownies.) What you end up with are 9 awesomely powerful brownies that will get you good and stoned for HOURS. Don't buy into the idea that you need to put a lot of pot into your brownies, I've seen people waste so much nug..

i used between a 1/4 and a half of killer heady nuggets in some brownies. I then sprinkled a couple grams of small buds atop the brownies. I ate one on my way to work and when i got out of the car my buddy and i couldnt stop laughing we punch in the boss comes out and sees us asks us whats going on and we said ahhh just joking around. We go out and ar doing what we do. I spaced and started just watching my boss in a world of thought. He stops and stairs back at me for a whole minute. He then goes what the hell you looking at.....get back to work! So i do but my hands and eyes feel like they are moving at 10000 miles per hour. Definetly a fun time felt like i was tripping.

Oral ingestion is my favourite way of using cannabis. I have always fealt that eating gives a stronger and much more psychedelic high than smoking.

The first time I tried it I made noodle soup with hash butter with a couple of friends. We were watching a movie and it felt like I was sinking deep into the couch into happyland. My whole body was numb and when I looked out into the room it was like there was a fog lying there (noone had smoked in the room). It was beautiful.

This other time during last summer I had stayed up all night, and in the morning at about 8 am I ate some hash butter. I went to the store at about 9:30 and still didn't feel much. Then at about 10:00 it hit me hard. I sat down on a comfy chair on the porch and looked at the sky for several hours. It was such a happy summer high. Good times.

Wow!  Thank you so much!  I'm just reading over that thread and getting really excited about trying the crackers.  That guy really did his research.  He did a great service to the drug community, in my opinion.

My experience sucked(because it didn't work). I put maybe .75g between PB on crackers and baked it for 15 minutes or so. I think the problem was that I didn't bust up the bud enough and I could have used a little more.

It can take a while to bring out all the essential oils. 15 minutes in not enought time IMO. More along the lines of 30 minutes to an hour or more. They key is to use low heat, for a long time.

Also you will probably want more than a gram in it. If you smoke alot, trust me you will want at least an eighth or more. Don't get scared of the brownies! They are all fun!

I agree with mecreateme

If you are comfortable with the cannabis high including the negative aspects then I say to overshoot your dosage rather than be conservative.

Wiccan_Seeker's posts and some other posts in this thread may be of interest to you if you are still looking into methods of consuming your cannabis.

i've made leary biscuits a very times with like .5-1g dank bud, just cheese on bread (didn't have crackers) and in the microwave for a minute and they worked fine. also made brownies and rice crispie treats a lot, ime rice crispie treasts don't cover up the taste as well and are pretty gross, the last batch of brownies i made 4 using a ton of trim and they tasted great. ended up smoking, getting the munchies, and eating them all then regretting it. use oil if you want to strain the pot out which is a good idea, ime butter is a pain in the ass to filter.

That's an excellant thread!  I've read both yours and Wiccan_Seeker's posts with great interest.  That's kind of what finally spurred me onto this crusade to experiment with oral cannabis.

I'm on a week long break from weed right now to get my tolerance down and this Friday it ends.  If I can get some tasty weed I'll definitely be trying the cannabutter cracker method and report back with my first experience.

Funny thing about cannabutter,{when I eat it anyway}...my eyes get sooo red and itchy, and I don't get red eyes from smoking.. :goodluck:

ya ive eaten hash 1-2g raw or with hot choco and the resulting high is way intense (in a way you would never get from plain smokin) and your often high even for the next day..

eating weed .... if prepared correctly ... can get you high in a totally different way than smoking it. And usually its way stronger

its always a fun time but it lasts forever and i feel really burnt the next day.

It's a much trippier way to take THC in my opinion
