In my eyes, threads like this of disgust are just the same as threads of admiration. Why not just shut up about Travis Barker, as said above, who cares.

It's bad enough people like this are on television and advertising, but then I come to a place like this and it's still there just in a different form. Just let him go, he'll be gone.

when did it begin to matter what a person wears and listens too?

i enjoy trance and techno music, yet look nothing like a raver.  am i a bad person? am i a "cocksucker"?

is it quite necessary to to let you know what kind of music i listen to or play by my outward appearance?

shows like "matt persons life" are created with two purposes, admiration and disgust (like someone said earlier).  and both feelings are exclamations of the same vice.

i joke around and say i support television slavery only to keep the weak minded out of my way, but the sad truth is that no one should spend there hours deciding if someone is cool or not in front of a tv.

it is the greatest american pastime, and i think the worst american disease...

sorry to get in a bunch.

my "old fashioned" values probably wont be too popular here, but they are all i have.

i don't see anything wrong with the idea of mainstream...

i just think that peoples creativity is being jarred, maybe even stunted by spending hours in front of the tv.

i said that i joked about such topics, but in reality theres nothing i want more than freedom of thought. and these people are obviously choosing to absorb other peoples thoughts, i salute them, it must be an amazing way to spend the days, being entertained.

and why is there nothing worse than a person who thinks mtv is a waste of time?

and i have no problems with these people on an any level except for one, i spend my time doing things i feel are a bit more productive. i have friends who love mtv and tv and mainstream culture, but i don't hang out with them as much as id like to because they're usually parked in front of a TV.

i don't hate, i just think there are options that aren't going to give me ADD or idolization disease or a lack of compassion.

what is televisions purpose but to let us know who to despise and who to adore? oh, is it giving us better options?

the current american culture has a borderline personality disorder.

it shouts "i hate you mary kate, but i love you ashley!"

i sigh. i probably cannot fight you on your opinions, because you love them so much, and you hate mine even more.

I don't care for reality TV, but Travis Barker is an amazing drummer. You CANNOT deny that he has serious skills. And furthermore, the last Blink album was pretty good. I think most people who talk about him not being able to devolop musically have not heard that record, or Box Car Racer. Just because Blink was popular for a while doesn't mean they lack talent or musicianship.

I'm not down with MTV and it's crap shows, but leave Travis Barker alone. If he wants his own damn show I'd let him have it.
