Question about hard drive and operating system

I'm going to put my old hard drive from my xbox into my PC, and i want to install windows on that and use my other drive for storage. Does the drive with the operating system have to be the master? or can i just leave it as the slave?

ALso, would it work if i just dragged my windows folder and progam files over to the xbox drive, or would i have to put in the windows cd and install it. sure would make it a lot easier if i could just drag and drop :laugh:

If it's Windows XP you WILL NOT be able to just drag and drop, as WinXP keeps track of the drive's serial number that it is originally installed on and will not like being put on another drive.

You can leave it as the slave, though, and install XP onto it.
