Oh that sweet, sweet poison food!

After over 10 months of abstinence from all things McDonalds...

I just broke down and took a bite of a quarter-pounder w/cheese :frown:

Did you finish it?

I dont eat at McDonald's because I can't. Everything there (but fries and pop) causes me to vomit involuntarily. My body will not allow McDonald's into my system, even if I want it.

I'm halfway done. It tastes good, I'll finish it so it doesn't go to waste.

I still won't ever go back and give McD's any of my money. I got this for free, my sister who works there brought it home.

My gf and I shared a medium or large order of fries there. Needless to say we got some pretty gross nausea and have continued to not eat there. Blehhh

I'm sure dying for a bigmac though. Those things are good but the smell sticks to you even after having a shower. That's just fucking disgusting.

Bah, I couldn't finish it. The last two bites are staring at me, nauseatingly.

Dude, you live in Canuckistan. Why on earth would you want to eat a Mickey D product when there's Harvey's everywhere?

Best fast food burger in Canada, meng. Although I will admit their fries suck. MacDonald's fries are pretty yummy. Harvey's burgers, rings, and hot dogs rule but they gotta work on their fries.

Man I eat at Harvey's weekly

It's actually the only fast-food I still eat more than sporadically.

At Harvey's the burgers are flame-grilled, AFTER you order it (it doesn't sit in those plastic drawer steamer things they have at McD's). Then they make up all the toppings right in front of you, while you watch.

That's a fucking awesome way to run a fast-food place.

We don't have any Harvey's around here but there's a place chain fast food place called Applebees (sp) that makes good burgers.

Fridays is not bad either.

They're not just flame grilled, they're charcoal grilled. Even better.

Yeah, that's one of the high points of my twice-yearly visits to Ottawa -- Harvey's. I've been known to make the cabbie stop at a Harvey's on the way from the airport to my parent's house. But now that I can fly into Dorval (excuse me -- Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport now) rather than Mirabel, I don't even have to do that anymore. There's a Harvey's right in the airport. Droooool.

Harvey's has the BEST veggie burgers ever. The last real meat burger I ever ate was a Harvey's cheeseburger.

Their fries DO suck, tho. Really bad.

Last time I was in Canuckistan the Harvey's I went to had a salmon burger but I didn't try it. Do they still have them? Are they any good?

Hey, Bom.... you used to live in Ottawa, right? Isn't that where you got your cat? I'm heading up to Ottawa in a few weeks time.

I live in the Ottawa Valley about an hour north of the city.  My cat came from the general area, yea.  You should get a Harvey's poutine when you come up here...they kick ass.  Sometimes all the gravy and cheese gives me a tummy ache, but every so often...it's worth it!

Yeah they still have them, though I haven't tried them yet. My experience with fish-burgers hasn't been the greatest.

That damn "filet-o-fish" ruined it for all fish-burgers everywhere.

Over here, applebees and fridays are restaurants, I would never pay $10 for a burger and fries at a fast food joint
