My rent is $250 a month
My income is.... well I'd rather not say, no offence to anyone
I suppose you could call the area I live in an suburban area, insofar as you could call a small town of around 30K people "urban". A five minute drive in most any direction will put you in a rural area...

I don't rent, I own. My mortgage payment is around $1200 plus all other bills (electricity, gas, water, sewer/trash, etc). I end up spending around $1500 a month to keep a roof over my head.

My wife and I make OK money though, so its not a big deal.

Rent - $300 because I live with my parents, and they want me to stay for a bit to help with their mortgage
Income - $1300 or $1500 if I make my monthly bonus

My parents just bought a super kick ass house, and while I was dying to move out they've just made it far too beautiful for me to leave. I was only going to stay for 6 months, but now I'll stay until I either advance with my job and make more money, or until I find a really good apartment.

I live close to my girlfriend, by a fucking wicked lake, the neighbourhood's clean and familiar, and my relationship with my parents is pretty sweet.

I'm trying to use more cash, but I hate having too much change on me. Never getting a credit card because even using my debit card is kind of sketchy, always buying things. Money's easier to gauge when it's physical and not just a number you check on a monthly statement or off the internet.

I know that sometimes people get down and out, but when they're 23, have no income and live with their parents but act as if they have disposible income (drugs, partying, etc) I think it's fucking lame as hell. They shouldn't bitch at all. There's nothing stopping you from workin at mcdicks until you find a better job. I'm making beans, but I still pay my parents $300 and I try taking nothing for granted.
