I recently wrote a paper that decried the American conquest as a genocidal disaster. It focused more on Columbus and the first two decades after he landed, but I learned a lot about the Native American situation here.

Trust me, the genocide here makes the Nazi death camps look like Romper Room.

No picture, but an observation. Yes, our government has done, and is doing some rotton things. Still and all, it's a great place to live and there are lots of great people here, even though we can make it better. But there's room for improvement in everything.....

Seriously... just go look up some facts about the cheap dirty tricks Karl Rove has done. His signature move is discrediting at all costs decorated war heroes. The man even discredited another republican candidate which had lost two legs and an arm in combat. He also placed a "bug" in his own campaign headquarters and blamed the opposition the day before elections....the bug had only a 6 hour battery life and upon inspection only 45 minutes had been used.

Also, a warning....I live in Tennessee, home of the majority leader Bill Frist, who is planning on running for presidency in the next election....this guy makes GWB look like an atheist....there is a really good way to tell if he is lying...if you can see his mouth open, or lips moving, then he is lying.
I would rather Jeb Bush beat Bill Frist out in the primaries....yes I would rather have another Bush than Frist any day.

Well, I just spent half an hpur reading all of this, quite an interesting discussion. I'm glad to see real issues being discussed.

But people seem to be one-sided. yes, or no, black or white. These issues are not that simple. I have noticed that manner in which people choose to educate themselves entirely distorts their perspective. Those who read nothing but extreme leftist material will think that is the "truth", and the same is true for the opposite.

I think people should read the articles they disagree with atleast asa much as they read things they do agree with.
