Man there's a lot of hate in the thread. The United States is in no way a facist regime. My great grandmother was in a concentration camp because she was Jewish. Is anyone here in the states being persecuted to such a degree because of their religious beliefs? That's right no. While I do agree the US does some fucked up stuff comparing this government to that of Nazi Germany is RIDICULOUS!!! If my great granmother, grandmother or even my mother heard some of the things in this thread they would cry. Why? Because they are free to worship hoewever they choose here. Let us not forget what this country was founded on. I am a pacifist and this is the reason I have decided to post the pictures I'm going to post.

i agree with you 100 % on that one. We dont realise how good we have it, how this country came to be. My grandparens lived threw stollins rule of Russia. As man people died under his dictator ship as people died under hitlers. We think the world is so horrible and that our government os so bad, but tell you the truth it is doing a lot better now then governments have before. Some people are never happy and need to complain to make it seem as if they have done something.

there are US concentration camps right now with many thousands of people being tortured starved, robbed of their human rights as per the geneva convention. and we would be kidding ourselves to not indeed awknowlage, executed.

it had evrything to do with genocide, i specifically cited genocide, were you just skimming?
do you not consider the wounded knee massacre genocide?
the enslaving, gelding, and lynching of blacks?
what about the mountain meadow massacre?
how about the forced cristianity of the philipino nationals?
what about the bombing of japan? was destroing a nations ability to conceive normal children for decades a justified action? limiting a peoples ability to conceive and birth viable progeny is genocide.
what do you call genocide?
not recognizing these acts aas genocide is the same as a modern day german feeling the nazis were justified.
the scale is different, but the comparison stands.
taking it as an insult to your family is the reason why it can still happen, because hey, maybe youre country kills a few hundred thousand innocent people for its interests, but at least you're not a nazi.

its part of history and progress and we work every day to becoming more humanitatian. Some shit heads at the camp down in geneva disgraced america with there acts. We did what we could to fix the issue. Its history now. We are progressing and people that keep looking at it like we havnt done shit arnt really looking at all.

it's not history it's now.
this is where we are, this is what sort of stuff goes on under our noses.
its not pretty but its always easy to think were doing something about it. sorta like how i feel were doing something about aboriginal poverty and culture loss.

actually since you mentioned it...it's the spaniards that told all the indigenous filipinos "YOU BETTER BECOME CATHOLICS OR WE'LL KILL YOU ALL!" but of course..the US helped with it later

also on a related but seperate notion. comparing military actions of the US to military actions of the Nazis is not really nessisary, but it is certainly not rediculous.
a dead tortured starved jew is as bad, NOT WORSE than a dead tortured starved Saudi or Iraqi.
to think otherwise only serves to hold some human life higher than others.
it's not about defending your country, in argument or otherwise.
its about people. and the biggest enemy of people is nations.
like a giant foot stomping on ants. its easy not to feel guilty for ants.

what terror groups specifically are all the detainees from?
what acts of terrorism did they commit? i was under the impression that jihad entails martyrdom, and islamic terrorism is governed by the doctrine of jihad.

i think youre confusing terrorists with insurgents which are POWs and as such are entitled to certain rights. few of which are honored.
