why would an american ever want to back up an argument that americans have committed genocide?

few things can be considered UNIQUELY AMERICAN

attrocities happen when you think youre type is right and can do no wrong, when you think being compared to nazis is rediculous. thats when youre free to do these things, and it bears exposing.

i posted them to represent the USA acts of brazen genocide.
i could site less obvious examples, but i beleive ive made my point enough by calously throwing salt into an old wound, just to prove it never healsor stops hurting just because you don't awknowlage it.

Are you defending hawksapprentice's point?

Where in Central or South America did the U.S. intend to 'destroy' a particular ethnic or national group?

If you think that your U.N. definition of genocide just means 'mass murder' you're mistaken.

Furthermore, the KKK is not a part of the American govt and as atrocious as the treatment of blacks was, the government was not intending to destroy a part or whole of them.

most likely a small percentile were war criminals. how ironic.
technically not genocide because they really diddn't know who they were dropping bombs on. you have to be targeting and exlusively killing a specific group to be genocide.
i guess really you just have to chalk it all up to the regular collateral damage you see in every american-started war that gets blaimed on the few that ruled over them.

Wait so you don't even explain the actual part which answered my question? What were the genocidal activies where?

I have never said America has been innocent, I have only questioned them participiating in genocide.

Furthermore, I'm focusing on contemporary American government as that is what's relevant.

and look it up, it was the same conflict. you can look up the spanish-american war of 1898 if you really want to see that yes the US of america did indeed engage in genocide in central and south america. yeesh ive posted enough to prove my point and then some, you're grasping at peripherals and making me do all the work. personal research might be more enlightening. it means you gotta read through alot of history . you dont just look up 'genocide america' on google and expect anything short of leftist yahooery.
all kinds of stuff you have to read and then peice together. im not coping out by suggesting you research the spanish american war for yourself. im suggesting you better your understanding of why and how genocide occurrs, and why the US is just as guilty as the nazis. maybe consider this. the nazis lost. would you say germany is still commiting genocide? does history mean anything? germany isnt under facist rule anymore, it has that as an excuse. the US however is still under the same system that produced all the bloodshed that stains it's collective hands.
my point, however astray it may wander. is that the US is guilty of genocide, in multiple instances, and by the definition accepted in US dictionaries of what constitutes the meaning of "genocide".

hey im canadian, were guilty too. look what we did to the natives, we forced their children to speak english and be christian. i think we accept that in a present sence, and are working to rebuild from the damage done. i can't immagine not being aware of my homelands greatest shames.
but then i guess thats how it works.

i like to think we as individuals are ultimately responsible for the consequences of all the actions from which we profit.

evryone by this merrit is guilty. we remember our veterans.
why not pay homage to the innocent people whose villages they burned, whose women and children they raped, whose way of life was taken away. its like nobody is willing to feel shame for a person who they can still recall relation to.

the holocaust happens to be extensive because it went on largely uncontested. the US sat on its hands until it got attacked by the japanese.
why diddnt they move in as soon as germany started with the invading and ethnic clensing?
probably for the same reason gays arent allowed to marry and adopt, which by the way, constitutes genocide acording to definition.
as does it represent fear of society changing, and therefore changing individuals.
