Man i wanted that guitar

It was a Fender DG-6, which is a pretty cheap guitar (retails for $90) but it was only $40 dollars and it had brand new strings. Not that I know how to play guitar, but I wanted to learn. It was only $40 bucks. And it sold today, before I had a chance to buy it from the guy. The question now is, do I still want to learn how to play guitar? Or was it the price tag.

=( It seemed like fun.

There are plenty of cheap starter guitars on E-Bay, man. The guitar is really fun to play. You should learn.

i started in february sometime and i love the thing.

once you get chords down and then start barchording and learn to finger pick you will absolutly love it!!>.

just take it slow when you first get it, and youll amaze yourslf one day :smile:

i just sold my old ilbanez & marshall amp for 40$ .. coulda got alot more for it, but it was for a friend..  too bad you didnt say somethin earlier , i coulda gave it to you :wink:

learning to play an instrument is one of the best things you can do for yourself. ive had some of the best times just messin around with my guitar

Yeah I really need to find some way to mess around without doing drugs or trolling on the pub. Guitar seems so perfect. Acoustic, just pick it up, play. So easy, so non-dependant on anything. Strings, resonance. So pure.

hehe, it will most likely frustrate you at first, but it is very thereputic if you have teh right attitude about playing, which it seems you do :wink:

and it TOTALY depends on you!  you have to tune it, and that can be a chore to learn at first also...

i suggest learning by ear (with a tuning harp or piano) and it will help you in the long run!!

i started picking around a few weeks ago, and let me tell you just being able to even fumble a few songs that sound even close to a dead tune makes my day every time =)

I recommend a Jay Turser or a Krammer Focus if you're looking for a cheap guitar to just mess around with. Make sure it's intonated correctly (just bring it to a shop, it's about $10) - makes all the difference in the world.


Spend your money on a better amp, at least from my experience. You'll hear a lot more of the tone/notes clearly which will develop a better ear.
