Valerian root.. will work..it is natural...it knocked me out on herbal speed even..yess!!

im writing a paper on insomnia. i too suffer from lack of sleep. i also know how much it sucks not having a beutiful girl sleeping by your side every night. reality can be harsh sometimes, but we must never give up on it. with will power, we can overcome the largest obstalces down our path which we call life.

exercise your balls/tits off!  also while doing this you should  :whoa: go clean for a while  :whoa:, yeah i know it's drastic but try it. if after a week or so your body doesn't respond--- SEE A DR.

That's great. Except like most people I have mandatory hours I have to put in at work so I have to schedule my sleep accordingly. Like the OP I've suffered a lot from insomnia. It will make your life miserable and if you've got it bad simple solutions like serotonin and exercise will not work. For mild cases, that's great but some people just need real medication. If you go a week with only two hours a night work will be a kind of hell. A lot of people who don't have insomnia think they sleep a lot less than they really do. When you get down to under four hours a night it's just plain miserable. Recently, I've been able to get to sleep regularly using a kind of mediation technique. Think of a place or a situation that you'd love to be in imagine yourself there until you sleep. Eventually you may be able to get your mind to associate those pleasant thoughts with sleep and you can get to sleep that way. Also, put the clock out of site and try not to keep track of the time. Nothing makes it harder to sleep than knowing you have to wake up in two hours. But if you need to, take sleeping pills. They may not be good for you and it may not be as good as real sleep but they're a lot healthier than not sleeping at all. That will destroy your health. Sometimes, it only takes one sleeping pill a week to get you back into the pattern. Also, try to go to bed at the same time every night and keep as regular a schedule as your life allows.

damn i always feel bad when i hear people complaining about having trouble sleeping. i had some trouble for a month or two after breaking up with a very serious girlfriend, but other than that, have always slept like a drugged-out baby. in fact, today i woke up 1.5 hours late for work and had to bike my ass here as quick as possible. luckily my boss is in michigan and won't even be up for a few more hours :smile:

I know what you mean. my schedule has been fucked lately. I don't have any solutions that haven't been previously stated. I'm planning to stay up all day since it's 6am and I've been going to sleep at about 8am lately due to my being in between jobs/moving. I need to get on a more regular schedule for when I move in a few days. it will suck for a while having to get up so early since I'm not a morning person at all. I am more awake and energetic at night but then have my abilities/coherence peak at a certain point in the early morning making me become disoriented and worthless but still not tired (like now).
