    #4099386 - 04/26/05 04:43 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

I havent been able to fine calcitic lime flour in my area or crushed oyster shell. But I did find this.

Will this work? If so. How much should I use in my casing mix?

Not sure if i'd use that, i had the same problem on finding the right type of lime, so i just used crushed egg shells. Definately something everyone has in there house, and relatively cheap, mother natures buffer. just my 2c =)

I found the same stuff and used it in casing about two days ago. It says its pure calcium carbonate, so I figured why not. Too soon to tell if it actually does anything, but Ill let you know when things start growning.

Great success with the pure calcium carbonate, peat moss, coco coir, and a bit of vermiculite.

Ill post some more pics when it starts pinning.
