The Unofficial Guns N' Roses Kicks Ass Thread
    #4092306 -

GnR used to be my favorite band when I was in 7th grade.  I thought Axl was the shit.  I don't go out of my way to listen to them anymore but I gotta say some of their stuff is really good.  Slash is a hell of a guitar player and the creative peak that the band reached with Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II is pretty remarkable, not to mention all the cool videos they came out with in the early 90s (November Rain, Estranged, etc).  I'm probably in the minority but I think GnR kicks ass.

Plus, look at that hair.

Axl Rose is an egotistical asshole, but he kicked ass as a singer.  GnR

Appetite for Destruction all the way!!

Listening to that album makes me envision some kickass gritty rock and roll band in a shitty smoky bar. I never get tired of that album. Who could have thought that five dirtballs from L.A. would have so much talent and rawness?

Axl is a complete prick, but G n R totally rock.

Went to see Velvet Revolver in January... not sure which I like more.

No doubt at all. GNR was the shit when they were all still together. Now Axel's a fucking retard though who thinks he can make some big come back with a whole new team of members. While Slash and all them formed that new group 'Velvet Revolver' with the singer from Stone Temple Pilots, some of there stuffs alright too.

I was at one of those adult-arcade things in Long Beach..,. "Gamestop" or "Gameworks" or something. It was a private event... rentout out my Microsoft. I got to meet one of the VP's of Microsquish. It was about half Microsoft partners and hald Microsoft execs.

There was a caberet room with a coupl hundred ppl packed in... Karaokee... With a LIVE band.

Everyone that was getting up there was some yuppie in dress clothes doing some lame pop song. The band members looked totally gothed out and seemed kind of bored. So I... drunk as hell... climbed up there.. in front of 200 of these microsoft big boys, ripped a neon green wig off a manequinn, and did WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE. I did all the highi pitched screaming, axl-crab wiggles, microphone,= stand humping and all... the band totally got into it and started jumping around the stage too.

I think we traumatized a few people there.
