im usin 1/2 pint canning jars and the pf/mmgg tek. well, my jars always have really thin mycleum and then start to pin, i dont know how to really explain it, but its really thin rizomorphic growth, so i can still see the substrate a little bit, i dont know what to do. whould i use less spore water? cuz on one of my jars i use bearly any and its really thick rizomorhpic growth. im usin thai lipa yai. and its takin about 3 weeks to get almost 100%(i cnat tell if i should birth yet cuz of thing growth)

I feel I'm in the corner of a circled room

exposure to light, too much of it and too early can cause premature pinning. but, pinning is pinning. what is the problem? are you getting poor yeilds? few pins? pinning before full colonization? sounds to me like you just have good rapid colonization. when you used less innocculant, it took longer to spred, and had time to thicken out. generally fast colonization is considered to be better, because it allows the shrooms to get a head start against contams.

they are exposed to now light at all, only when i take them out of the box to look at them, and cuz of the thin growth it looks like its no all the way colonized
