Rizomorphic Mode: On

Well, everybody says that rizo myc is the best etc etc, but you never have rizo myc right from the start. All myc starts cottony and eventually turns to rizo right?

So, why bother waiting the myc turning rizo and isolate, if u can have a isolated cottony myc wich is basically, the same myc?

Look at one of my dishes, the mycelium is invading the other section of the dish, turning into rizomorphic, but as u can see, it started cottony. I trasnfered a piece of this myc to another dish, way before it turned to rizo, and it's developing in a cottony way. How many trasnfers until it turns rizo? Aren't all those trasnfers just a waste of agar and petri dishes?

But i mean, if i inoculate a jar using a piece of this cottony mycelium, and inoculate another jar using the same myc but in a rizomorphic state already, what will be the difference? The results will be the same i believe... Cause the cottony myc will turn into rizo anywayz...

We isolate a rizo myc as opposed to tomentose because rizo myc is aggressive stronger over all better. Why innoc a jar with a wedge of tomentose myc when you can use rizo myc which is obviously the stronger faster and better of the two.

Its selective breeding in a sense sure tomentose myc could branch off to Rizo's . but why not just start with the stronger of the two

id say the rhizo pieces would be great to use - you could prob use any part of those and get satisfactory results - just always pick your best looking pieces - Good Job Man:super:

I don't think you could isolate pure rhizo mycelium 100%? as thats just a charictaristic trait as it gets healthy and ages? If you could- it def be the best

Yes bro! I noticed that, i just can't isolate pure rizo myc! When i transfer a piece of rizo myc to a new dish, it just starts growing cottony again. I took a piece of a real rizo myc that was stretching out of my monotub, u know those ones that crawls up looking for food and really looks like tree's roots?? After 1 or 2 days cottony myc started growing from it, instead of rizo.
