The "what time you get up" threads...another variation.

Theres been threads about 'what time you get up' (including the one this morning) and some threads about 'how much do you sleep'. But this morning I was considering a variation of this topic...

If you have somewhere to be (work, school, etc) how long before you must leave the house do you get up?

I am one who likes to be up long before I have to leave. I like to have an hour to an hour-and-a-half in the morning. I make coffe, eat breakfast, watch the news, even pop in here ocassionaly. I just enjoy mornings and I love to have some 'me time' before I start my day. I know other people who get out of bed and are immediately out the door in less then 5 minutes. I figure that most people fall somwhere in between those 2 extremes.

So whats your ideal morning routine on a day when you have to be somewhere?

I get up at the absolute latest I can. I'm usually sound asleep in bed then 1/2 hour later i'm in college.

I never quite plan it right, either 2 hours up to early, or with just enough time to speedily do everything I need to do - 5 minutes.

i live at my school - literally 2 minutes walk from where i have to be first thing in the morning. so i probably get up at 8:15 when i have to be there at 8:30.

wake up, wash my face and brush my teeth, have a glass of water and a piece of fruit or some bread and cheese on the way, and then go sing danish folksongs for 20 minutes, before having the first cigarette of the day. heheh it's really a shame they don't have folkeh?jskoler in most of the world...

i usually get up around an hour and a half before i need to be somewhere. I dont have much "me" time but it is enough time for me to eat, shower and get to school

....sounds like my routine...plus a 15 minute walk with the dog.

I give myself between 1 1/2 to 2 hours every morning before I go to work.
I take a shower, sometimes eat breakfast, watch the news, sometimes I call my mom in the morning...then I get ready for work. I only live about 4 minutes from work....I always arrive 30 minutes early. That's what I do in the morning, if I even fall asleep the night before.

Anywhere from 10-30 mins before I *have* to leave to arrive at class exactly on time.

I can't sleep on a school night unless all my work is done (sometimes exceptions) and everything's ready for the next day. So I'm usually right out the door with coffee cup in hand and cigarette in my mouth.
