Organic Vs. Synthetic

As far as food goes, I very much prefer organic over commercial (synthetic). I am sure many will agree.

But do you keep this philosophy for the drugs you consume as well?

I always prefer organically grown pot to non, but that is pretty simple. But I arrive at a strange junction when I come to LSD.

I know that the fact that LSD is somewhat "in-organic" (meaning it can't be found in nature) keeps some of my friends away from trying it, and it has me kinda thinking about it too. I know that it is as "safe" as can be. It won't kill you, but you may have trouble keepin' it together. But it also has that "synthetic" feel to it. Especially when you compare it to something like mushrooms, or mescaline.

What do you guys think? Are my friends buggin' out for no reason, or do you think it's a legitimate stance? Have any of you noticed the "plastic" of Lucy? I personally think they're buggin', other than the feeling which is what leads me to ask this.

Edit: this also keep them from trying RCs, which is understandable.

I stick to natural organic drugs only.

I've done quite a bit of LSD back in my time and I definitely think it's caused me some permanent damage. Natural drugs don't do that. Usually!

i can't belive you won't do something cause it didn't come from nature
ever heard of human evolution? god gave us the ability to create things to expand ourselves.. hence lsd is one of them
good acid is... amazing. i think you should go with it

i know a vegan. i once saw the guy accidently use some salad dressing and almost get sick cause he later realised it had cheese in it or something....

but man, you bust out some geltabs and he'll be all over them :tongue:

as for me personally.. i'm not natural at all. organic food usually is better, but i often dont have the time or money for a good meal in my everyday life. as for drugs, i prefer inorganic psychedellics, although i try not to smoke any chems. i only smoke the jah:tongue2: high doses of mushrooms are sometimes hard for me to handle in social atmospheres. whereas LSD, 2c, ketamine, MDxx, pretty much most chemicals i can do in any setting and enjoy it :grin:

natural or synthetic; they're both chemical substances. That one can be found in nature sais nothing about it being safe.

when it comes to drugs i stick to naturaly organic drugs too.....  buds and fungi, what more do i need!

i also only stick to things i can grow myself. i would never pop pills or take lsd. i also do the same for eating. i have a very strict diet.

I first do research, regardless it comes from nature or not. If it seems safe enough and interesting enough I might try it :thumbup:

The RC thing is understandable, but only from the point that it really hasn't had much feild testing with humans. LSD hasn't either, in the long term. It's safe though, as we all know who've tried it.

I don't think there's a plastic feel to it. If anything, it's more intense and "real" feeling then some other naturals i've tried (LSA being one). As long as you have a solid mind and good set and setting, you won't bug out. It's very heady that LSD.. so it is easy to bug out on on a large dose and/or if you just think too much. You have to go with the flow... don't talk too much...and enjoy!

This post reminds me of talking with an old friend last night. We're both very much into drugs now and i asked him if he's ever smoked DMT. He responded with a "Fuck no man, i stick with naturals" I just had to point out that DMT is almost more common than psilocybin, and that's it's found in a variety of places in nature. To that he could only respond by changing the subject... I wish someone would find an LSD flower or something...

It's not keeping me from trying it. I've dosed once, and would like to dose again, but it is hard to get my friends to do it too. And I prefer to trip with my friends, as i tend to go a little bonkers when i trip by myself.

I am also just interested to see how many other people choose their drugs. If there are any constraints or anything like tthat. I presonally like to stay away from processed foods/drugs( it is hard though, since they're everywhere). For example, I would never do cocaine, but I'd be down to chew some coca. Does anyone else feel the same?

I'd have to agree with you, as long as it was made fairly well, if it's safe, it's safe, you know? Natural or synthetic, it's all chemicals. Going by the logic that if it's natural it's OK, well, castor beans are natural, are they safe? No, they contain an extremely powerful toxin. LSD on the other hand, a synthetic chemical, is absolutely safe and quite wonderful :sun:.  Always do your research before hand, that's the lesson of the day.

On a side note, quite a few chemicals have been synthesized before they were found in nature, DMT for example.

Another thing that I consider when taking a drug, especially a new one, is the LD50. I'd be more inclined to indulge if it had a high LD50, like Psilocin/DMT/LSD/THC, whereas I would rather leave MDxx and Ketamine alone. You know what I mean?
