Early Pinning Invirto

Just wondering if anyone can explain why i have some 30% colonised cakes pinning one week after innoculation - mycelium is still spreading through the cake and there is no light - is this to do with temps, moisture or strain??

it happened to my wookie with some domesticated wild strain growing on cow manure... i think it was because there was too much substrate to be colonized and the older areas were ready to fruit... anyways, remove all and any abhort (or deformed guys) as soon as seen... you should also keep in mind that some may be fruiting in the very core of the substrate, maybe splitting it would make it easier (i dont know the scale of your project)...
good luck!

i hate witty sigs / if anything i say has something in common with reality, this is a merely a coincidence.
