Solid white? Clear that up please...

Note: You don't need gypsum for WBS/RYE/anything. Giving your jars a good hard shake out of the pressure cooker loosens things up just fine.

That means it's fully colonized, good job. When you're ready to spawn it to straw, you reach in the jar and break it up until all your substrate comes out. Wash your hands before you do this.

Gypsum is used to allow the grains to seperate from each other easily in the beginning, not at the stage you're at now.

sometimes the bigger solid chunks wont be colonized inside so it is best not to break them up. These are the chunks that wont break with shaking usally golf ball sized or bigger. If you do want to crack it open do it slowly and if its not colonized inside then push it back together quickly. leave it whole and it will colonize other wise take it out and dont use it

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

Take the jar and bang the shit out of it against a fully inflated tire. That will break the grains up into individual kernels. Then, simply pour and twist to pour out the grains.
