sterile shrooms

why are some shrooms sterile? i have three casings of puertos with 2.5 pints in each and every last shroom was sterile.. not a fuckn one spoduced a single spore.. the growth on them was fuckn amazing though.. they average 4'' tall... i was planning on printn the hell out of them but no luck.. i let them totally open waiting for spores...what causes this? genetics? could another flush possibly produce some spores.. if i knew anything about making a culture a would definetly keep these guys around, spores or not... puertos are a very nice strain... they colonized the fastest but fruited the slowest... thanks guys... STRANG......

Often, the second flush will produce more virulent fruit.

virulent meaning robust fruit or meaning more likely to produce spores the second time around..why is this?

OK, I may have used the wrong word. Let's say the second flush may produce viable spores, whereas the first flush may shoot blanks. Why? I don't know. This has been my experience.
