Queens of the Stone Age @ Webster Hall
    #3967911 - 03/25/05 10:39 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

Saw Queens of the Stone Age do a one-off show at Webster Hall last night and it was awesome. Aside from the venue being way too packed and beer far too expensive, the show itself was fucking great. They played for 2 solid hours, taking a host of selections from their newest record Lullabies to Paralyze but also playing a whole bunch from the last record - but they didn't play No One Knows much to my chagrin. I don't know if anyone here listens to Desert Sessions but they played the song that goes "I keep on playing our favorite song..I turn it up, while you're gone" and it was simply sick. I'd never gotten to see QOTSA before and was glad to get the chance..if they come by your area definitely check them out.

I used to listen to harder shit but my tastes mellowed a bit though it's still rock and roll all the way...just not hard rock and metal anymore. But QOTSA is like a blast from my past updated for my current tastes...I love em.

Yeah, they are definitely completely bad-ass.

I'd love to see them live.

Gonna pick up the new CD tonight, most likely...

Do you guys listen to Desert Sessions? Pick up Desert Sessions Vols. 9 & 10 (one CD)...it's sick.

I prefer Kyuss, but some Desert Sessions is cool. I saw QOTSA live about 5 years ago and wasn't overly impressed. never gotten into their stuff to be honest.

That's cool man. I like QOTSA. I like this new album most of all i think. Never got to see a show of theirs, but maybe sometime. I saw them do a set on Fuse the other day, that's the closest I've got to seeing them live.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. ~ Albert Einstein
