I like what I've heard of them so far. I've heard their earlier stuff is even more awesome, tho.

oh yeah, the first album, self entitled, has the coolest groove to the whole album. Josh Homme is a very good musician.

Born To Hula by kyuss is awesome.

That was the name of the band before. There is a crappy version and a great one!

Infinity
A song for the Dead
Better Living Through Chemistry
First It Giveth
How to Handle a Rope
If Only
Sabbath Cover
Tension Headache
Mexicola

All of these kick ass!

Kyuss was a great band. But very different from Queens. They had Garcia on vocals and was a lot heavier and "desert" sounding. You should hear some of Garcia's new bands, Slo Burn is one of them. You should also check out Homme's side project Eagles of Death Metal. Oh and Masters of Reality.... fucking awesome band.

I don't care for them.

They aren't unique enough for my taste I suppose. :frown:

I don't know, I mean their one song was ok. But I guess I am a "poser" since that's all I ever heard of them and they're split up now anyway so I guess it doesn't matter

I'm not the biggest fan of their music.
But Josh Homme seems really cool. Maybe he'll do something kind of eclectic for a side project. Or do more work with PJ Harvey.

yeah kyuss were much better than queens of the stone age, in my opinion. stoner metal fucking rules.

queens album "rated r" was really good though.. better than songs for the deaf.

They haven't split up. Nick got fired, and another member left, but Josh is basically the main songwriter and already has material for the next album.

I'm really enjoying Eagles of Death Metal and Slo Burn
Thanks for the bands that are getting me back into my stoner metal groove
I think the techno was brainwashing me from life's simple pleasures
