Contamination on the bottom?

I'm growing for the first time using hippie tek and everything seems to be going fine except a couple of the jars now have blue green mushrooms on bottom. It's the only place it's happening and it don't look like it's on the cake so.......... I don't know what to do. Please help

If ya git shrooms comin up an its not totally colonised id dump out the substrate an case the colonised part .Mew

small mushrooms that seem to be okay at first but then begin to turn blue are usually aborts. pick them off so they don't stunt the rest of the cake. by the time they change color, they are past being done. when you have gotten used to them, you will learn to recognize which ones will abort, and can pick them before they turn nasty. if they still have a firm texture, they are okay to consume.

when you say, JARS, you really mean cakes don't you? are they still in the jar? if you are growing invitro, you need to put tape or tinfoil or something around the jar to keep light from hitting it and triggering pinset down at the bottom of the jar. Now you would be too late, you must remove the cake from the jar, or it will succome to the contam monsters.
