Backyard Shrooms?
    #394448 -

Found some shrooms(?) in my backyard. They are light brown in color. Think these are any good?

Need a better description. The thing you descibed may not even be a mushroom, it could be a leaf for all we know. Or it could be 1 of about 3,000(give or take a thousand) brown mushrooms. Try including gill color(things under the cap), stem length and size, if it has a veil, general size, and briusing reaction.

Peace out,
-Gumby

the statistical probability based on the info provided is far less than 1 in a thousand that it is. DO NOT INJEST THESE!

I saw an animal in the woods. It was brown & furry. What was it?

Seriously, if you have any real interest in hunting mushrooms, you need to learn how to observe & describe the identifying features. There are thousands of species; many look quite similar and can only be told apart by the fine details.

Get a good field guide or two, take some mycology classes, join a mycological society & go on their hikes. Learn something about mushrooms in general, then study up on the ones you want to find. Then you'll be able to post meaningful questions & maybe get some useful answers.
