well, when a forum needs a mod now, the other mods in that forum post a thread asking for nominations. after a group has been nominted, we discuss the candidates in the mod forum and take a very loose vote. then the admin make the final call.

Mods are picked in SEVERAL different ways.

Usually, a Mod is voted on, either by Mods, the Admins, the Public... or all three... or sometimes, just the Admins.

Sometimes, a Mod just happens... folks go to a gathering, meet a cool bloke... and the Admins mod him.

Sometimes, ass kissing is involved.

Usually, the public, Mods and Admins agree on who the next NEW mod should be.

Often, a Mod from ONE Forum... just fills in in another Forum, bypassing the entire nomination process. Mainly, the process depends on how many Mods the Shroomery currently has. The average Mod can Moderate 2-3 Forums.

making a bunch of threads about it here isn't going to help, more than likely. being a mod sucks anyway, unless you're a powerhungry cocksucker that gets off on having a green name over the internet, otherwise it's just a bunch of extra work that dosn't pay :stoned:

The Theory of Natural Selection

* One of the prime motives for all species is to reproduce and survive, passing on the genetic information of the species from generation to generation. When species do this they tend to produce more offspring than the environment can support.

excactly,i wouldnt have to do anything.its perfect.what i could do is cut back on some posts that arnt even worthy of AG,who wants to pay to look at things that they can see in OTD.i could keep it worth the money that is spent.i can make a difference in the AG forum by cutting off the fat.
