What's the point in keeping this woman alive? Let the woman die for fuck sake.

Some people are self-righteous stooges who say she should be kept alive. I think they do it to make themselves appear compassionate and caring.

In actuality, keeping her alive is illogical and a fucking waste of money.

No way in hell would I want to be a vegetable!

I agree. I would not want to be kept alive using machines and all that stuff. Why? Just so the for-profit hospitals can make a buck? Fuck them.

"Six words: drop out, turn on, then come back and tune it in -and then drop out again, and turn on, and tune it back in-it's a rhythm- most of us think God made this universe in nature-subject object-predicate sentences-turn on, tune in, drop out- period, end of paragraph. Turn the page- it's all a rhythm- it's all a beat. You turn on, you find it inside, and then you have to come back (since you can't stay high all the time) and you have to build a better model. But don't get caught - don't get hooked - don't get attracted by the thing you're building, cause... you gotta drop out again. It's a cycle. Turn on, tune in, drop out. Keep it going, keep it going- the nervous system works that way. gotta keep it flowing- keep it flowing.

I would want to die, and i agree she should be able to die.

But removing the tube now means she must starve to death. This is not an instant death, but a slow painful process.

I would much rather get put to sleep than starve.

Thats why i am so torn about this. I do think she should be able to pass, but not by starving.

In the end, i do think that both sides are wrong. Just put her to sleep instead of killing her slowly.

Let her die.

I can't really see why this is a nation wide story though.

She is brain dead.

But they must starve her body. I know she is brain dead, and technically not cognitive to understand that her body is dying.

But don't you think, even if you are brain dead, that your body rotting away while your heart beating might still hurt.

Maybe its just me that thinks that, but even if my brain is dead, i think that something inside me would feel pain as i get starved.

I don't think her pain receptors work.

Anything is better than letting her body starve, in my opinion. Brain dead or not.

If i was in this situation, i would have my family dose me with 100 grams of golden teacher and see if that might knock me out of my body!

I agree, should've pulled the plug on this situtaion years ago. This shit has been going on for 15 years??? Ridiculous!!!

I've made it abundantly clear to my family and friends that if I was to ever become brain dead like this, pull the damn plug!!!

As a friend of mine said "The message of this is that big brother makes the 'final' call."

You have to put it in writing or your family can keep you as a memento to what was.

My personal oppinion is that quality of life can be more important that life itself.

The only problem is, who gets to decide on the quality?
