I got into a fight with two homeless guys on St Patty's Day!

My day sucked balls yesterday.

Woke up and went over to my biddies gallery yesterday to help him pack it all up. You see, in our area, crime is going up and more and more homeless people are showing up. Seems our dumb ass mayor needs to focus on the city, not on her outfits but i am off topic now.

My buddies gallery is amazing, he is a fossil hunter, he collects "oddities" from around the world. He is moving to a 100 acre hacienda in San Miguel. We are packing shit up, and its 11, its st patties day, so what do we do, get really really shitty. I mean drunk.

we are sitting in his office playing pinball and hear some guy yelling his name.

He goes "shit, those guys have criminal trespass warrants against them. Lets go kick their ass, be a man."

I haven't been in a real fight before, so i think, two homeless guys, cool.

We go out, take a swig of makers mark and tell them they have three seconds to get off the property (they broke in and stole some stuff)

Well homeless man number one says fuck you. Comes up and pushes me.

Really wasn't expecting that. My Buddie (hes 50) says fuck you and runs off.

So now, two trash talking homeless guys surround me and try to make a move.

First guy who pushed me comes in to push me again.

Grab his arm twist down, making him fall to his knees, and then kick him in the back of the skull.

Second makes move as i kick and lands one hit on my EAR. Ouch.

I'm not big, but I'm not little, i turn around grab him by the throat and push him away.

HERE IS THE FUN PART.

He grabs a Lil ol pocket knife.

I here in the great state of Texas have a CHL. Conceal Handgun License.

I mentioned in a thread a week or so back i just got a new CHL custom Sig .40

I pull it out and pistol whip the dood in between the eyes.
Right as i do it the cops pull up My buddy left and called the cops.

They see what happened, ask me a few questions, take my CHL number down, are actually really cool, cuff the two guys, and take them away.

YAY badguys 0 goodguys 1

I bitched my buddy out for running like a pussy, made him go get more beer, and proceed to get shitty for the rest of the day.

YAY.

You started the fight, you could have just called the cops in the first place.  I'm bettin' you would have popped him if necessary rather than running away.  Let the civilians be judge, jury and executioner, why not.  I'm very glad nobody got hurt.

Starting a fight just cause you find an alibi sucks imho. Then running away and leave a "friend" sucks even more. Burglars suck 2.

Ehm glad that nothing severe happend. I think you would have been save without that gun.

can anybody say BS and carry a handgun well intoxicate you will get charge as if you never had the license that was the first thing they taught us in class i curently have a license to carry in ma it took me two years to get i wouldn't fucking take it out with me when i get drunk
and i wouldn't pull it on a homeless guy you should have first of all drew it and warn him then if he didn't"t take the warning the you point it at him and give a final warning and then if he continues you should make no Innocent are in the area and discharge your weapon when you have a clean shot just advice to you if you actually have a gun my self i like the glock very good stopping power and nice all around i carry two of them on shoulder holsters and i only had to draw my gun once once someone sees that you carry they don't give you any shit

I probably need to clear a few things up.

First off, i do not mind getting flamed, its always easier to look at things in hind sight and draw conclusions.

I said i had never gotten in a fight before in my life. I am not a person who goes out looking for a fight. The other time in my life i almost got in a fight i ended up making a joke of the whole thing and now i have my best friend of six years (with the guy who wanted to beat my ass.)

I didn't know that i was going out to get into a fight. I thought we were going out to ask them to leave, as that was what i was told.

In CHL classes, you are taught, NEVER EVER pull your weapon, unless you are defending yourself. If you pull, and your assailant has no weapon, more than likely you WILL go to jail.

The only reason I pulled my weapon was because a homeless man was coming at me with a knife. A CRAZED homeless person i might add.

I would have walked away from it, shaking my head if I had not been attacked.

I want to make a note, that a squad car came by my home today. Both homeless men had many many warrants including aggravated assault, robbery, theft, and one had a kidnapping warrant. I am not allowed to carry my weapon for 30 days pending a ruling from a judge for misuse of a concealed weapon.

I am not getting charged according to the officers, its just standard procedure. If i would have discharged my weapon, it would have been a totally different story, but my god, i don't ever want to kill someone.

My pussy ex-friend keeps trying to call me and apologize for getting me into that situation. I will never speak to him again, anyone who is willing to get a friend into a situation like that is not a real friend.

The cops did not consider my being drunk a problem. These men were trespassing on private property. I also was not fall down drunk, i was just feeling good.

Why do i carry a weapon.
I am a street photographer. I go where people do not want to go, and i see things people don't want to see. But as a citizen journalist, its my job to document what the world is.

And in some places in the world, you must defend yourself.

I carry around $40,000 worth of electronic/camera equipment with me at any given time. It is insured, but those images i have captured are not. I will defend that with all my heart and soul. Its just in my blood.

Take my money, beat me, take my clothing, but do not ever think about removing my camera, because that is one thing i will never ever do.

I don't want people to think I'm a dumb redneck. I post in this forum, and i imagine rednecks can not even use a computer, let alone type. I don't think any rednecks grow shrooms and enjoy going on journeys of the mind.

If this was the methery.org maybe, but its not.

Not everyone in Texas is a hick or redneck. I am ashamed of my president and ashamed that Texas has done nothing to prevent the stereotypes. They suck.

Exactly. If they were coming at you with a knife, I'd be protecting myself any way I could. Especially if it's on Private property. It sucks that your "friend" left so quickly. Oh well, at least your not charged or anything like that. You'll get off free as a bird while those homeless people will go to jail. Good for you for putting away 2 bad people with warrants on them. People who say that you are bad, or that you shouldn't have pulled your gun are sorely mistaken. I'd like to see what they'd do in that situation with 2 men, one armed with a knife, coming at them.
