Can my IP address be tracked through sending an E-mail
    #3933711 -

I download this miltiproxy, but Im not sure if its working---Iknow there was a related Imgesa thread pertaining to Ip addresses and stuff a few pages back but if I send a hushmail to somebody, can they obtain my Ip Addy (ping?) without having to get the cybercops involved?

I haven't used Hushmail in some time, but I recall they don't put your true IP number in the header. If you're in doubt, send yourself an email from Hushmail and check the headers....

I remember reading about this on another website. Apparently, with Hushmail, the IP that is sent with the email is from the website, so every user of Hushmail has that same exact IP address going out with their emails. It's not your IP, but the website's IP.

i can't really anwser your question because i've never used hushmail but i just wanted to say using proxies isn't all that secure either. if you're really worried about it wardriving is the best security wise (and is legal in the US). if you don't live in the country you can pick up a siginal from your house using a cantenna most of the time. you can then use a proxie if it makes you feel better. using a proxie essentially doubles the risk against any government agency if they want to get you info imo. you don't know if the proxies are actually public or an accident and when you use them the sys admin has logs of all the activity. if they get pissed and turn in the logs there goes your cover. you don't know if the proxie was intentionally setup to gather such info (common). it might protect you from script kiddies but if anyone (such as LE) wants your info, a proxie won't do shit.

It sure can. Also if you use your own ID or your own info on mail forwarding they will get you too.

Why was the fake ID thread deleted??? You guy's are sure dumb if you use your own info on this site as well as to order. You better be using a proxy too.

best of luck.
