I've lived in worse places than IL. However, if you come here, the only place really worth going to is Chicago. Chi-town is cool as hell.

One of the few fun things in Illinois: DISC GOLF! We should plan a Shroomery disc-golf outing in West Park.

I live here(Illinois) and I've only been to Chicago once. After reading all the replies...I've realized I need to get out more.
My birthday is next month. I think I'm going to go party in Chicago!
I live in a very small town, but I kinda like the quietness of it. The cornfields aren't so bad. :smile:

It's like golf with a disc (similar to a frisbee but harder and more aerodynamic) You use baskets with chains as the holes.

That seems pretty cool. It would be near impossible if you were tripping though. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try.

yeah Ive never had a chance to play but it looks like fun. Do people use different disks for different shots like in real golf??? that would be funny... I need my sand wedge disk :lol:

It wouldn't be bad for tripping if the course was empty, the problem is that's hardly ever the case. I went disking w/ my brother on shrooms and there were people EVERYWHERE. It was a bit too crowded for us so we came home and went for a bike ride... and smoked a joint :lol:

I prefer to do it when I'm clear-headed or just a little stoned... not ripped.

Yes, there are...

Drivers - these are sharper on the edges and go further
Putters - they're softer and used for short-range shots
Mid-Range - they're used for anything in between

there's a certain degree of "fade" with each disk-- disks with a lot of fade will quickly turn over after you throw them. For right-handed people a disk will fly straight then fade left... high fade is good for doglegs

so you have to throw them into something...that would be hard messed up..it is hard to walk straght if your peaking...cus i always stumble on shroomies...i guess i should try to play sometime...-that is sober-- so let me know when you are going to have something going...

It's not overrun with meatheads, most of the people are chill pot-smokers. It's just that there are a lot of groups of khaki-cargo-shorts-and-wife-beater-wearing people walking around too. :laugh:

Oh, well....I've been real busy and the other shroomerite who planned this trip with me kinda hasn't spoken to me in awhile.
