Drierite - quantity?

I was looking over PF's drying tek over at www.fanaticus.com/drying.htm ? it looks like a good method, the only problem being that nowhere does he mention what quantity of drierite to use, beyond saying to fill a container like the one in the picture about an inch full. That tells me nothing about how much drierite to pick up.

So - how many pounds of drierite would you need for a drying setup like the one PF describes?

I buy 48 oz Damp Rid (in the paint section) refills for 3 or 4 dollars at lowes. Pour a nice layer about 1 inch thick, maybe less.
The drying container should be as wide as possible and as shrort ass possible. I normally suspend the shroom buddies on a paper towel over the damp rid.
