Damprid vs. Drierite

I have used both and found that Drierite does not seem to suck up all the moisture like Damprid. Does anyone have the same problem?

When I'm drying with Drierite, it is so slow that some of the mushies started to rot and decay before they are even dried.

Do you fan dry before putting the mush in with dryite?

No fanning, straight from the casing to the drying chamber. Should I be fanning??

I didn't fan while using Damprid, and they dried alright. Figuring Drierite was the same, but I guess not.

It's a good idea anyway. You use less dissicants if you dry it out mostly, then use the dissacants to finish it off.

It's an all around good idea.
