Would whisky/liquer work for LSA extraction?

I am planning to extract some lsa from the seeds using lighter fluid and then I would need the strongest alcohol available to extract lsa.
Problem is I can't aquire the right stuff and don't want to use methanol. Would it be worth trying with 40 % alcohol such as whisky or vodka?

I've never done the extraction myself but I don't think something less than 100 proof will work, most people say use everclear 190, but you could probably get away with everclear or bacardi 151. I don't think 80 proof has enough alcohol in it.

Any alcohol works really...the stronger the better though. All alcohol really helps do is evaporate quicker and make the effects hit you sooner.
