I liked it, I don't really know why I just thought it was hilarious. I mean who throws steaks at people or tapes themselves throwing footballs haha. "Napoleon you're just jealous because I've been chatting online with babes all day, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter" hahahaha. "Tina I caught you a delicious bass" hahaha those are just a few of the reasons why I like it. Some of the lines and the scenes are hilarious.

 the appeal of it is that there is no appeal. there's no point. there's no plot. there's no story. there's not supposed to be. you can't expect more from it than what it's supposed to be. i for one thought it was hilarious. i enjoy random things. also, if you've only watched it once, give it a second chance. a lot of people thought it was ridiculous when they first watched, then laughed their asses off the 2nd time. it is what it is, you can't expect too much.

I think you have to have some nerd in you. I grew up pretending to be, a ninja. Or was it pretending? hmm...I would make nunchucks, and stuff like that.

I just related with him, and it's funny as hell.

I thought it was hilarious. I love dry humor type movies (Best in Show, Lost in Translation, Royal Tenenbaums and the such), and this one was no different. It just seems to get more funny every time I see it. I can easily see why someone wouldn't like it as the comedy isn't straight forward, and thats why you should watch it more than once.

I liked this movie too, I dunno you just get it or you don't.

This conversation reminds me alot of the Arguments about the movie "KUNG-POW"! I love the movie Kung-Pow, I tell my friends and they watch it. They come back to me saying "That Movie Was Stupid", I reply to them "Of course it was a Stupid movie", that is what is suppost to me, a stupid movie.

i didnt want to start yet another Napolean Dynamite thread....

but i finally saw this movie last night. it was good, but nothing too hilarious. the time-warped environment was pretty unique, i could not tell what year the story took place in. the soundtrack was excellent too (despite MTv having a hand in production  :smirk:)

the two times i laughed outloud were:

Kip: "Maybe some day you'll find your soul-mate Napolean......peace out."

Napolean: "I caught you a delicious bass."

I dug it.
Napolean Reminds me of a friend of mine, who tells outrageous lies for no aparrent reason.
"Theres a buttload of gangs in this school. One of them kept trying to get me to join, because i'm pretty good with a Bow-Staff"

i saw the guy who played napolean on leno. He was just normal looking and I would have never known it was him without being told and hearing there convo. But by just looking at him, I think it is very tough.

the dialog and acting in this movie is the most apealing part to me. my gf and i have been quoting it everyday for the last 3 months. i heard people at the college today imitating Napoleon. Some of the people i talk to that said it was stupid thought back about it and actually realized they thought it was entertaining. high expectations before watching the movie might be a factor. its a good wholesome movie with no gore, swearing, or sex. allthough these are also appealing to me, its nice to finally see a good movie without them. takes talent to make a good movie in a style nobody else uses.

I'll tell you about my experience with Napolean Dynamite...

I watched it in the theater completely sober and walked out thinking I had wasted my money.

I watched it again while INCREDIBLY stoned and that movie rocked my world!!  It was awesome!

I guess it depends what state of mind you are in when you watch it.

And I agree, Kung Pow is hilarious.
