Re: The Mundane and Becoming Enganged with Life? [Re: gettinjiggywithit]
    #3788113 -

boredom is an addiction stemming from the mind. it appears when there is no progress being made towards an addiction. By addiction, I mean an emotional back demand. somewhere in our heads, we demand for something to happen, and if there's no progress being made towards what's happening, we get bored.

If someone is bored then in their head they have to be doing something. For a person to be bored, one would be wanting to do something else than what is presently happening. I know I'm repeating myself here, but bear with me.

your original question had to deal with why people lose their spirit and feel that life is mundane. All of this is inside that person's head.

All of this has to deal with forcing your will upon reality. when reality doesn't meet our addictive demands, we react with a negative emotional response. in this case, we are slaves to our own mind and feelings.

Throughout a person's life they will encounter many things that, while as a child it is necessary, will envoke fear or discontent. As a child it is necessary so they know not to touch a hot stove, or walk in the middle of a street. As we get older though, we don't need this kind of thinking as much because our minds are more fully developed. it isn't necessary for our own survival. unfortunately, this is how we orginally learned to deal with the world and so many of us stay there, being subissive to our own desires.

this is refering to the ultimate freedom, freedom for addictive demands. learning how to accept instead of reacting emotionally first, and then stopping to think.

If a person keeps doing this over and over, then there isn't anything mundane about living at all. A person who is aware of their own reaction to their surroundings will come to realize how life can be an unfoldment into happiness.

all that needs to change is learning styles, which, if you look around at our environment today, doesn't promote learning to sharpen your own mind and its attachments.

i really like this quote:

"I always remember that I have everything I need to enjoy my here and now, unless I am letting my consciousness be dominated by demands and expectations based on the dead past or the imagined future."

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

not just parents, but all conditioning conspires to form these filters (glasses); and some filters are very complex and taxing to perform.

the mundane is a very fast highway pouring into your city continuously

if you have eyes to see it is beautiful.

on the defensive, however, each car might be a suicide bomber

The suckers of suckdom. That was a meaty post! I usually just avoid suckers who suck and stay far away from suckdom but my daughter likes playing with a neighbor girl, another only child whose mother is a QUEEN SUCKER. This little girl is already so devoid of spirit in life. Its sad and me and my daughter feel for her to live with that mom.

Dealing with the mom takes everything I have. It's ridiculous. Though I do what I can to have compassion for her while hiding behind the garlic because she must've been raised by suckers too.

She has stripped her daughter bare. This little girl hasn't a chance. It sucks just being witness to it. The little girl is even become a sucker and my daughter is noticing how she sucks energy off her and has to keep play dates short now.

Hey, I got an idea to write a book called the "Vampire People and how they SUCK!" LOL just kidding but maybe it could be a good book for raising awareness and helping people break the chain of sucking.

Kaio those were good insights on boredom and being in the mundane. It ties in, in a way that people who find themselves bored and in the mundane a lot do not have the skills to infuse energy into their environments to give them vibrancy, action, interest and color.

No one is taught ow to draw from and pull spirit energy in to themselves. Mostly people are raised to suck it off others by example more then anything. Like you added Red, it goes beyond the parents. Some school teachers suck and some friends suck and everywhere you turn suckage is going on and children just learn the sucky ways of life by the example of sucky environments.

Thanks again for all the comments and insights shared here everyone!

Speaking of, vacuuming use to be a sucky mundane chore. How do you enliven that week after week? Buy a Roomba that's how! Now that I have the Roomba Discovery I Robot to do it for me, vacuuming in my world doesn't suck anymore.

Blowjobs sucking? Why are they called blow jobs anyway if sucking is going on? Shouldn't they be called suckjobs?
