I prefer straight horse poo...there is no need to add straw.
A horse doesn't digest his food like a cow.

I always add straw to cow manure.
A cow has 4 stomachs so it comes out more digested....soupy.

Hey D_S, I'm planning to toss 3-5 inches of straight manure in a few containers and spawn with several pints of colonized WBS for each bin. You'll definitely hear about it when I do it, but this project is a ways down the road at the moment.

10/12 quart tub (0.99cents @ WalMart), pasturize it in water, drain, fluff, cool & spawn 15/25% rate & incubate. Simple as that;
