Scientist theorize world conciousness
    #3776879 - 02/14/05 01:57 AM (12 years, 17 days ago)

--------------------
"Apparently there is a great discovery or insight which our culture is deliberately designed to supress, distort and ignore. That is that Nature is some kind of minded entity. That Nature is not simply the random flight of atoms through electromagnetic fields. Nature is not the empty, despiritualized lumpen matter that we inherit from modern physics. But it is instead a kind of intelligence, a kind of mind."

-Terence McKenna

I'm fairly sure that was a badass read. Is there any reason why it has to be a physical random number generator? Can't you just program one? They both work with the same logic.

How do you program a random number generator?

Me too. I have to wonder why they can only point to these "predictions" after the fact. If it can't be used to actually predict and prevent disasters from happening, then it is of no practical use.

So you think the hardware box does it much differently? *snubs nose*

And fine, it should be more influencable... but we just saw DonRom fail (at least his was in acceptable error).

Annom so far has done the best.

Both received the majority they were thinking of, but neither was greater than 20% difference.

I'm betting that I could have a huge effect on one of those gadgets when I was high dosed on DMT.
