euro gathering 2005??

so i am worried about how i get from the airport to the cabin how do we do that and how much american money should i bring how do i convert it to euros or what ever do i need shoots befor i travle ? a passport ? id ? i never travled to a nother country except southern california

get a passport first. then on like the third page it tells you ever thing you need to know about immunizations for certain countries. If you are going to Europe you won't need any. Go to your local bank and shop around for exchange rates.

passport photos and applications are now taken at any postoffice.. it takes up to 3 months to process because they all go through Boston I believe.

so what about transpertation from the airport to the cabin that has me worried more than any thing how much skrilla should i bring in i dont know what curancy they use but if it was american how much money

there are more shroomerites who need to get from amsterdam to the location so you're probably not alone. it's very easy to get there, a bus goes from amsterdam to the location.
You can withdraw money at the airport and in many places every city so it's easier to do that than to convert $ to euro's I think. 1.00$ = 0.77 Euro at the moment.

the netherlands is a small and relatively crowded country. if money is tight then you will probably be able to get to within walking distance of the venue on public transport (which is excellent in the netherlands). its only about 20 miles from the international airport to the venue.

jusk ask at the tourist info at the airport, they will speak perfect english as will the majority of people in the country you might meet. dunno anything about hitching in netherlands, but its prolly good i would think. or else you could get a cab, or combine public transprt with a cab for the last bit. sooo many options! my main bit of advice is simply not to worry, the netherlands is a very laid back kind of place and on a human scale - nothing like the big distances you get in the states! so everywhere is easy to get to really. just make sure you have the address of the venue with you, there will be plenty of people willing to help you along.

the easiest way of getting cash is from an ATM - ask your bank in the US how it works. generally its easy, esp if you have visa or maestro compatible card. they will charge a bit for international withdrawals, generaly its cheaper to take a few large withdrawls than lots of little ones. or you can easily change cash at the airort or any bank (easy to find).

of course you need a passport, no other id will be required unless you want to hire a car or something. no shots required.

thanks that helped alot d00ds so how much should i save up for the trip besides plane tickets i think those are like 2k

If you're flying to Amsterdam, it's called Schipol Airport.  There's a little display there of art that the Rijks Museum lent to the airport.  If you're stuck sitting there for a while, check it out. :thumbup:
