rainbow mold

Here's a pretty mold I found growing in one of my jars -- it starts out pink and then turns bright green (not that dark ugly green of green mold) as it ages, resulting in the most aesthetically pleasing mold I've seen; I almost didn't mind losing a jar to it :smile:

The pic is kind of washed out, tho. Anyone else seen this stuff?

Ive had some orange/green yellow mold growing on hotdog buns that might be similar. Orangish on the outside, light green to semi dark in the heavy moldy parts. It was deffinatly different then the normal forest green shit i see on bread. The stuff took over bout 4 hotdog buns in no more then 2 days. Unless i ate a moldy hotdog :P.

What I hate is how green mold is white when it first appears, like thick, healthy mycelium, then it turns sickly green and you know your crop is ruined :mad:

Except that it looks more tight and bubbly than cubensis mycelium, so nowadays I usually recognize the stuff as soon as I see it.
