Anyone use this tek??? is there anything i should know before i try it??? i heard in a post somewhere that you should put a cloth between jars and the bottom of the pot. is this true??? why???

I used it. I just tossed out my last casing fromit- lost everything to contaminants.
The Wiz seems to be a nice guy- he responded to all my email questions promptly and was encouraging.
That said, beginner that I am, I have already learned there are several crucial omissions to his shroom program-
1) You need a terrarium. No ifs, ands, or buts
2) Put a layer of vermiculite at top in the jars.
I am now using the PF tek and having success.

Use the PF or MMGG tek's instead...

The cloth is put on the bottom of the pot that you boil the jars in to prevent to much heat from reaching the jars... Just make sure the cloth is covered in water, or it could burn...

I used this tek and I really would recomend a layer of vermiculite on top.

Yeah, you do pretty much need a terrarium. A spray bottle will wet your cake/casing more than it will humidify the air...

As Shiznitz allready said, you need moisture in the casing AND about 95% rewlative humidity in the air.
That?s why you need a terrarium (or a rubbermaid cointainer, a styrofoam cooler, a bucket,...)
