It works well. Simmer equal parts brown rice and water for 20 minutes. Add 1/2 part vermiculite. Pressure cook for 45 minutes at 15 psi.

It'll work fine. I've actually noticed that using whole grain brown rice promotes speedier growth of mycelium, but that may just be my experience.

I agree it seems faster for me aswell. The whole grain rice leaves more air sapce for it to grow.

It's the cat`s meow. I get full colonization of pint jars in 7 days.( with honey water)

I've never bothered with brf . Used whole grain forever even first time. Works great!!

Yup thats about what i get aswell with honey water(have to love the stuff)
