where does one find coir????

i've been looking all over for coir and no one has it or knows what i'm even talking about, does anyone know any large stores like lowes or walmart that carry it? i'm not sure if they are just telling me they don't have it because they havn't seen it and don't want to check for me.

ok well i just called the petsmart in my area and they as well have no clue what i'm looking for but they said they have onother type of fertilizer soil called latteright?? not sure if thats the way its spelled, but does anyone know anything about that?

i put Coir into google, and the very firt sponsored link sells compressed coir bricks, 12 pounds for 20$ (and thats enough for several years worth of casings and flowerbeds)

yes.. then compressed into brick form. one guy said his petsmart had it. I check their website and it wasn't on there. Mycosupply has it though, and they are a shroomery sponsor

ya its not on their site as coir, its called Bed-A-Beast Litter.. i'm not sure if this is what i'm looking for or not "100% coconut husk, expands to 7-8 times its original size. Petsmart and Petco are easiest places to find it . Go to the reptile area and look for BED A BEAST .Cost aprox 5$ a brick .

I have done some planting in coco coir pots for lab work at school. It looks right and 100% coconut husk/fiber is what you want. But I am always unsure about these things.
