Martha: Use duct tape inside?

Do you peaople use it for the inside of your closet? Is it considered a comtam hazard? When you set up your mist input hose, does the mist condense on the casings? I guess what i'm asking is if your input hose is right above your casings... Or do you put something to shield the casings from direct misting?

A cool mist doesnt produce mist so no. An ultrasonic can but thats why its usually above the cool mist input..the cool mist air will disrupt the mist. I only use an ultrasonic myself so I use a fan to disrupt the mist and push it around...

What do you mean it doesn't create mist? You mean water vapour?

I mean visable mist...actual MIST. It only puts out slightly humidified air. Thats why cool mist additions can sometimes lower your humidity instead of raising it. If anything...I'd be worried about the cool mist input drying out the casings it may be directly blowing on. If just blowing over the casings thats a little different but the moving air can dry it out...

You think a comp fan should be installed to offset the incoming cool mist? The cool mist being used is an old school sunbeam: It uses a vortex-funnel thingy to slam the water into a series of projections.

If you put a tiny computer fan half way over a glass of water inside the fruiting chamber, that will bring the humidity up to 90%. I have not gotten higher with bigger/smaller glasses and water alone. However, I have gotten up to 98% if I added perlite/clay/paper-towel.
It is the equivilant of having a cool air humidifier totally inside the chamber. It is not fast, but it is cheaper and functional.
The glass that I use inside my bags is a normal tall drinking glass. I use a whole bucket for my containers, but I also cheat and use a sonic humidifier inside my bucket. My bucket feeds about 200 gallons of growing space... The bags are only 1-2 gallon bags.
