looking for a good beginner Kit

Hi,
I am currently looking for a kit that would be a good introduction to growing shrooms. I've been looking at sporetradingpost.com, and their Deluxe Mini Kit, and the shroomwizard.com kit. The Hydropod looks very cool, but intimidating for a first time grower.

NO BAD do not use the STP
and I have not heard much good about the shroom wizard either.
I know you can get a kit put together your self for less than 20-30 dollars.

Hey man, I used the sporechicks kit and it is a pretty good kit. But, put into consideration that their business is under a lot of heat right now because of slow or even negligent business. I would email them or something first but their kit is very good.

Don't waste your time on kits. Everything you need can be scrounged for cheap at trhift stores etc. Or even bought new for fairly cheap. Kits are just a way for vendors to make money.
For a newbie, starting with a newbie method incl. rice cakes in jars, all you need is:
1/2 pint jars..... $10 a duz new
vermiculite......dirt cheap
brown rice flour.....flour cheap
pressure cooker (optional).....$3 at thrift store
terrarium (old aquarium)......$5 at thrift store
spore syringes......3/$25 from SporeLab.com
Luck....free!

i recently posted a question about Hawks Eye producing what looks to be a really cool kit called the Dung Brothers or DB easy kit. There is no pressure cooker required and if it works it would be a great beginners kit. Check it out at www.TheHawksEye.com under DB Brothers dung kits.
