Shroom kits & beginners...

Ok, I'm not totally sure if this is the correct place to post this but I do want to know if purchasing a shroom kit online is a decent idea for a beginner who can never find shrooms in his/her immediate area? I've seen a few places offering kits and I just need a little advice. I'm dying to try mother nature's little wonders and just need to know a reputable place to buy one(A kit that is) that's easy to use and safe to buy from. Thanks for your time.

if you're a newbie, go to www.sporeworks.com and buy 4 or more myco-enviroment bags and some spores, you'll probably get more shrooms with less money. i'd suggest mazatapec strain for spores, peace.

Thanks for the info all, I'm taking Hippy Lettuce's advice and buying 1 myco bag & a spore syringe. It's not expensive & what do I have to loose? Thanks again.

buy two in case one bag goes bad. great investment for your purpose of just getting some shrooms for personal use

Just my opinion.....but if your already using a *generic grow bag, use quality spores....little shop's spore syringes are kindof hit and miss sometimes......try spore works or the hawk's eye, or ralph is inexpensive but has high quality spore syringes. I can't suggest other vendors because I don't have as much experience with their syringes..........

I learned ALOT from the DB kit.....rye bags...spawning etc..
Never again will I use a jar...(unless I crumble/powder the cakes to spawn straw)
Why grow cakes when you can grow BINS FULL of fungus.
Just my opinion.

Phew! Man, thanks again guys, I did go to Sporeworks as I can tell they must be pretty reliable, I'm probably going to order that 2nd bag today.  Once again, you guys were a great help.  Peace :smile:
